Workshop Manager

This leading specialist in the design and manufacture of Mechanical Seals and Support Systems is looking for a Workshop Manager.

The purpose of the role is to oversee and maintain current standards in the workshop as well as support other workshop managers on standards, quality and reporting. You will be responsible for the day to day management of processing pump repairs, site work and replacement equipment, end to end.

Key Objectives
- Assessment of rotating equipment repairs, including re-build of pumps, gear boxes and fans, within a timely manner
- Ensure the call out system is maintained
- Liaise with suppliers and complete costing sheets, working with the Team Leader to provide a timely quotation
- Provide monthly reports on margins and performance
- Maintain the internal system by inputting relevant information and compiling/sending detailed quotations
- Provide technical support to the facility and support/manage the internal administration team
- Where required, manage performance within the team and conduct review or disciplinary meetings if needed
- Visit customer sites for review and reliability meetings
- Support and carry out all required ISO:9001 improvements

You must be apprentice trained within mechanical engineering as well have having pump specific knowledge. It is essential you have experience of of managing a team, both within a workshop and administration environment. You must have good engineering practice and it would be desirable to have a current passport to safety (CCSNG).
