Our client provides a range of social care, special education, community support and consultancy services in the North West of England. The charity is one of the North West’s largest providers of residential homes for children from short-term emergency care to long-term placements. Their fostering service provides family placements in the North West and neighbouring regions.
As Catering and Hospitality Tutor, you will deliver high quality learning and assessments to students at their College.
Developing an innovative and progressive curriculum, you will design and manage person centred individual learning plans and set comprehensive targets. You will be required to self-assess the subject area and provide evaluations and updates of progress at regular intervals throughout the academic year.
Candidates wishing to apply for this role must hold a Degree / Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational area and have Qualified Teacher Status. You must have a good understanding of non-accredited learning programmes and RARPA and have experience of developing a curriculum which meets the needs of learners with complex learning difficulties. You must also hold a PGCE/PGDE in post compulsory education or be willing to work towards this.
With relevant experience in catering and hospitality, you will hold as a minimum a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate and have previously worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team. With excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills, you will be a strong team player who strives to meet deadlines, at times under pressure.
