Experienced Fire Alarm Engineers are required for this well-established national company.

Salary: depending on experience and location, plus overtime and out of hours OTE £45,000.

They have several positions available across the UK, specifically:

Brighton and Portsmouth
London
Reading & High Wycombe
Manchester and the North West
Milton Keynes

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with a range of fire alarm systems and have FIA Units 1 & 5 as a minimum.

You will be required to provide maintenance and servicing of fire safety equipment, and emergency light and smoke vent systems for their social housing clients.

Additional skills could include servicing of extinguishers and dry risers in accordance with all current British & European Standards.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day servicing of contracts
- To respond to emergency call-outs and carry out any remedial works as required
- Report any defects to the client and the maintenance manager
- Note the type and condition of equipment on site
- Install replacement/ additional equipment
- Call Out Rota
- Commission systems, complete necessary documents & company digital procedures in accordance with approved Company Operating Procedures.
- Conduct site surveys as required
- Training of apprentices
- To act at all times in a professional and diligent manor, considering the need of the client

Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of the industry
- Good working knowledge of the systems and tools used
- Good working knowledge of Social Housing industry (desirable)
- Able to work under pressure
- Able to communicate effectively on all levels
- Able to manage duties effectively
- Concise, attention to detail
- Identify and solve problems effectively

Qualifications:
- FIA Level 1 &5 (desirable)
- 17th Edition Electrical (desirable)
- Understanding of current regulations relevant to this work (essential)

40 hours per week, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, van, uniform, pension.
