Applicants must hold a Social Worker qualification.

Exciting, but challenging times are ahead in Luton and we are committed to building on our track record of success.

Over the next 20 years we have opportunities to develop our core services for the community and improve outcomes for our children and families.

To continue our improving children's services journey, we are developing a new Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub - MASH. The MASH will provide a robust and efficient response to those in need of support and protection.

We are looking for dynamic and motivated individuals, who hold a qualification in social work, to join us on that journey.

The role of the MASH officer is to

  • receive and handle all initial Children's Social Care contacts and queries entering
  • the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) via telephone and written methods
  • Prioritise the most vulnerable and at risk individuals and recommend
  • appropriate advice and action, ensuring that all contacts are signposted or handed over to appropriate staff and services for timely and high quality action.

This role is located within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and
the post holder will be working with the most vulnerable service users in the
Borough.

You will be expected to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals from other agencies including the police, health, education and voluntary organisation to ensure a seamless, quality service.

Luton has got a great deal going for it. We're incredibly well connected, situated just off the M1 motorway, and very close to the M25. Luton has its own airport flying to over 100 destinations across Europe and three railway stations that can get you to the centre of London in less than 30 minutes.

So why not take a further look at Luton as your next career destination?
