We design and deliver services that equip people with the skills, advice, attitude and support they need to move their lives on and to become part of their community. Our services cover education, housing, substance misuse treatment and the prevention of reoffending.

We are currently recruiting a highly motivated Team Manager to manage our Young People's and Adult services. This role involves responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of supported accommodation services and housing management services for individuals with housing related support issues. 

As well as managing service delivery, achieving internal and external key performance indicators are both key focuses of this post. You will also be the face of Nacro at a local level, responsible for supervising a large team across a diverse service group, based at multiple sites.

Duties & Responsibilities are not limited to but include: 

  • Planning and directing the activities of the team to ensure the delivery of a high quality service which meets the targets
  • Ensuring that all activities and engagement with service users are risk assessed and appropriate action take
  • Ensuring there is adequate staff cover at service delivery projects at all times.
  • Working with the Area Manager and the Quality improvement team to develop and maintain best practice systems
  • Leading, managing, developing and motivating staff, including undertaking support and supervision and performance appraisals, to ensure their ability to perform roles and that they engage in their own personal development
  • Controlling and monitoring expenditure on services against the project / service budget.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience:

  • Working in supported housing predominantly with young people
  • In staff management in a supported housing environment to achieve challenging performance targets and outcomes.
  • Of effective partnership working, with a range of stakeholders.
  • Providing quality services in line with quality systems and processes 

This role is Fixed term for 1 year covering maternity Leave.
