About us

Paper Nations will develop and share new models of creative writing education to be used in and out of school but in particular with children from some of the most deprived areas and backgrounds. Over the next few years we ‘re developing creative writing leadership programmes, video resources and open online courses to enable partners to set up their own sustainable hubs.

To give you a flavour of the type of initiatives that we are involved in - this month marks the hundredth birthday of beloved children's author and storyteller Roald Dahl. In tribute to Dahl and other writers who've inspired young people to pick up their pens - we're introducing Dare to Write: a series of creative writing prompts, challenges, resources and opportunities for children and young people. Towards the end of the month we're collaborating with Bath Kids Literature Festival in a live debate on the future of creative writing in schools.
