MI Developer/Analyst

Are you looking for a local MI role? My client is looking to recruit a new MI Developer to join their team in Sheffield. The ideal MI Analyst/Developer will have had experience with reporting and analysing databases.

Responsibilities:
*Internal support
*Create SSRS Reports
*Help to add on to the current knowledge base
*Assist with database maintenance and running
*Knowledge of SSIS Packages (Desirable)
*Looking to start data warehousing and creation of dashboards

Skills:

Technical Skills:
*Advanced knowledge of Transact SQL (queries, stored procedures, triggers, functions, etc.)
*Experience of SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012 administration including security
*Analysis and tuning using SQL execution plans
*Using ETL for data warehousing
*Experience of SSIS for ETL functions
*Experience of SSRS for reporting

Analysis Skills:
*Creation and maintenance of key operational reporting and analysis to assist in the management of the Chief Operating Office
*Effectively assimilate a variety of disparate data sources into a cohesive and accurate portrayal of operational performance
*Creating MI to help drive operational business performance
*The ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders around the value of the data and insight and how it impacts each operational area and manager
*The capability to undertake in-depth analysis of data captured and provide insights to key trends and hot spots - delivering business improvement recommendations to stakeholders
*To develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders that will allow a shared understanding of business operations and management information requirements - leading to the business making key decisions based on insight
*Presentation of data analysis to operational management teams
*Liaison with partners both within and outside of the MI team to assist with data interpretation and accompanying insight/reporting
*Strong attention to detail and analytical focus
*Commercial and financial awareness
