SALARY: GBP35,600 per annum

WORKING HOURS: Full time, Monday - Friday

THE COMPANY: Our client is a charity that provides support and acts as a voice for older people. Founded 150 years ago, they provide advice and befriending to older people and campaign for their rights. They are growing at a fast pace, helping more and more older people to remain independent and live life on their own terms. They are a charity with a clear sense of what they want to achieve, and with the funding they need to make it a reality. To help support their plans our client is now looking for a Maternity Cover Marketing Manager to join their Marketing Team based in Kensington, London.

THE ROLE: Based in Kensington, London, your role as the Marketing Manager will be to help to make sure the Charity's free information and services are taken up by older people, their families, and the professionals who serve them. You will also help make sure they recruit a growing volunteer team, and provide guidance and assistance to colleagues in Fundraising and Campaigning.

Key Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager to include:-
  • Developing and maintaining a marketing schedule that helps deliver the marketing strategy
  • Monitoring and analysing results to help inform further marketing activity, and amending plans/activity in light of results
  • Monitoring and reporting on KPI performance, and adjusting plans/activity to ensure KPI targets and agreed marketing priorities are achieved
  • Keeping internal partners informed of progress on marketing campaigns
  • Working with colleagues in other departments to implement media and social media campaigns to support marketing objectives
  • Writing and producing marketing material (brochures, posters, flyers etc.)
  • Contribute to marketing plans, identifying new opportunities through both traditional and digital channels
  • Maximising information about the charity and links to its website on external websites and directories
  • Liaising with in-house and external designers to produce publicity materials and information.


THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the Marketing Manager position will be exceptionally well organised, imaginative, good with words and detail oriented. You will have substantial experience in both online and offline marketing and the ability to copy write and analyse effective marketing campaigns.

Key skills/experience essential for the Marketing Manager role:
  • Previous Marketing experience
  • Experience in both online and offline marketing
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to evaluate and analyse results of marketing campaigns
