Job Title: HGV / Agricultural Vehicle Mechanic

Location: Bentham Nr Lancaster

Salary: £12-14 per hour depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Due to expansion and a high level of work they are looking for an experienced HGV/Agricultural Mechanic to join their busy team of 6 mechanics. As they are so busy you must have the ability to hit the ground running.

The company is an established independent dealer selling refurbished second-hand Mercedes Benz Unimogs and new and used spare parts as well as their own range of specially developed Unimog accessories.

Their team enjoys excellent working conditions in our modern, fully equipped workshop.

The successful applicant for the Agricultural Mechanic role will be working with Mercedes Benz Unimogs which can be 20-30 years old. They offer full servicing and repair work on and off site to customers' machines as well as upgrades to the vehicles they sell (turbos, intercoolers, conversions to right-hand drive, cab refurbishments etc).

Key requirements:

• Experience of Unimogs/tractors/HGVs.
• Welding/bodywork/fabrication skills are an advantage.
• Possibility of working off-site using our fully equipped mobile workshop.
• Ability to work under supervision and on own initiative.
• Keen eye for detail spotting problems and diagnosing work and parts needed based on symptoms.
• Working quickly and efficiently to get work done thoroughly & to a high standard but on time.
• Shared responsibilities in keeping yard and parts storage tidy - sweeping up, steam cleaning, tidying.
• Strong, fit and healthy - we work with heavy machinery and tools on a daily basis
