CAD Trainee Draughtsperson / Draughtsperson

As a result of this growth, they are looking to recruit Trainee Draughtsperson / Draughtsperson to join the team. The company is based in Stratford Upon Avon. The successful candidate will have a professional and capable approach to their work and must at all times be aware that they are an ambassador for their employer to the client.

Main Role Responsibilities

- Produce high quality 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Work effectively within an Operation/Projects/Sales/Fabrication departments and assist Surveyors carrying out the site surveys/inspections.
- Work to company expectations with regards to health and safety, quality and training.
- Produce manufacturing drawings, BOM and prepare orders.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

- Possess minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade C or above or equivalent (including one or more in Maths, Science and Design and Technology).
- Highly motivated and work well within a team.
- Be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Office. Some experience in AutoCAD or Solidworks would be an advantage but not essential.
- Have a keen interest in construction and building in particular
- Core hours are weekdays, however there may be some requirement for weekend or evening work to allow access to customers sites.

What The Successful Candidate Will Be Able To Expect

- Gain an understanding of the basic principles, terms and procedures and practices of automatic door industry.
- Will gain an understanding of Solid Works and BSEN16005 standards and procedures.
- Will develop the ability to produce 3D models and accurate 2D Engineering drawings using a Solidworks software.
- Experience of working in a multi-discipline office.
