IT Support Engineer

Nutriculture UK Ltd is an established manufacturing and distribution company based in Skelmersdale, with offices in Barnsley, Bristol and Birmingham. An opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Engineer to join the IT Department. Offered at a salary of between GBP18k and GBP20k, depending on experience, and Reporting to the IT Director, the role will involve: ?? Taking and logging IT support queries from users at all of our sites, which will include both software and hardware ?? Troubleshooting and resolving issues both in person and remotely ?? Daily administration of backup routines and network monitoring ?? Equipment additions, moves and decommissions, including maintenance of the asset database and equipment audits ?? Adding users to Active Directory, Exchange, Dynamics NAV and other internal systems In order to be successful in this role, you will be expected to have the following skills and experience: ?? MS Windows 7 onwards (installation and administration) ?? MS Office 2013 onward (installation and use) ?? Active Directory (management) ?? MS Exchange (management) ?? Switches, Firewalls and VPNs ?? Wireless infrastructure ?? Desktop and workgroup printers Knowledge of the following will also be beneficial, but not essential: ?? Experience with MS Dynamics NAV ?? Experience with VoIP telephony ?? Knowledge of MS SQL Server Although the role will be 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday and based at our head office in Skemlersdale, there will be occasional need to travel to our other sites in Barnsley, Birmingham and Bristol, plus our home workers throughout the UK and any other sites that should be acquired by the business. There will also be the occasional requirement to work outside of normal office hours both remotely and onsite, mainly to assist with project work or to respond to a systems failure.
