Events Manager

Our client has identified an opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join their London based financial information company.
Position Summary;
As Sales Manager your daily remit will involve an array of duties and tasks including;
• Sell our clients brands across print, online and face to face platforms, including conferences, round tables, briefings, print and online advertising
• Generate revenue from existing client base, as well as sourcing new clients and revenue ideas
• Meet sales targets through a mix of telephone-based and field sales
• Develop a sales pipeline using diligent follow up of existing new contacts
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will hold the required skills and experience to thrive within this role,
• Knowledge of either advertising or events sales in addition to demonstrable experience in a similar role is essential
• A good knowledge of financial services or capital markets is desirable, but not essential
• Ability to sell multi-platform (digital, print and events)
• Experience of presenting to financial services firms is desirable
• Individual must be a self-starter, self-sufficient and confident
• Sell sponsorship / advertising packages across a variety of brand extensions / platforms and tailor creative packages to suit the needs of individual clients
• Continually build and service contracts within your sector of the industry through meeting, telephone conversations and social functions
• Manage the sponsorship and advertising sales process of individual events and online projects by liaising with both clients and colleagues such as publishers, event producers, marketing etc
• PC skills, working knowledge of Word and Excel is essential
