We are looking for a talented Telesales Manager to join our management team at Head Office and report directly to the Sales Director. You will be responsible for managing the mainly ‘outbound’ team of telesales agents based at Peterborough in addition to the small telesales teams based at satellite depots in Norwich, Nottingham and Basildon. You will create a positive culture of proactive selling and lead your teams to up-sell new lines to increase sales and gross profit. There will also be a requirement to initiate campaigns for new business growth, and be involved in setting targets and bonuses. Due to the importance of customer service within our business you will need to manage your team to maintain relationships with customers and effectively manage call diaries and work load to achieve company deadlines.
Working closely with the South West Telesales Manager based in Plymouth, you will develop the telesales processes and technology to enhance customer service, and grow the company further. You will also be required to work with purchasing and field sales managers to manage customer pricing and produce quotations for large customers.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience supervising and/or managing a team of telesales agents or call centre. Ideally you will have experience of an outbound call centre and managing people remotely in a multi-site operation. Your proven track record will demonstrate commercial success and the ability to over-achieve sales and gross profit targets. Educated to A level standard and/or with a relevant occupational or vocational qualification, you will be professionally sales trained, ideally within a call centre environment using call centre software. You will be analytical and be able to demonstrate high levels of numeracy, literacy and skills at using Excel spreadsheets. You will be a strong leader with a ‘Can Do’ attitude and have the energy and drive to motivate your team with a positive outlook.
