Are you a newly qualified Physiotherapist looking to develop your skills in Learning Disabilities Physiotherapy?
You will be joining a forward thinking and unique residential service, supporting children and young people who have Physical and Learning Disabilities in the Stevenage area of Hertfordshire. You will be supporting individuals to live full and enriched lives, whilst expanding your skills and knowledge within a progressive company.
Our client invests in their facilities and they are planning for long term investments to develop their specialist facilities, which already include a hydrotherapy pool, sensory and animal therapy. They also are dedicated to invest in their staff and they offer long term career prospects and continued professional development in an enriched and fulfilling environment!
As Physiotherapist you will be working within a Multi-Disciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate individualised treatment plans, ensuring consultation with and involvement from the Young person their Key Worker and the wider care team.
What will I need to become a Physiotherapist?
- A recognised degree in Physiotherapy (MSc, or Batchelors in Physiotherapy with a Learning Disability placement) and current registration of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Ability to demonstrate and commit to continual professional development.
- A strong desire to make a difference to young people.
- Willingness to undertake a trainer qualification in Moving and Handling and to provide training to colleagues.

The location of our service has good Public Transport links and could be commutable from surrounding areas of Royston including Duxford, Cambridge, Bishop’s Stortford, Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin, Bedford, Luton, Biggleswade and St. Neots.
