This expanding company creates high quality, bespoke engineering solutions for its customers.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Junior Business Development Executive will be one of the main contact points between the company and its customers. Your overall aim will be to assist the Sales department with administration functions, growing existing business and developing new business for the company by interacting with the sales team and the customer.
Job Dimensions and duties:
- Draft quotations and sales documentation for enquiries
- Assist in developing new business and maintaining existing accounts
- Support and develop lead generation
- Visit client sites to establish customer requirements
- Follow up sales proposals
- Distribution of Marketing material by various means
- Collaboration with internal counterparts to ensure customer needs and specifications are met
- Answer customer phone calls, communicate customer needs to Sales team.
- Attend meetings, write and distribute minutes
Requirements:
- Welcoming professional style
- Must be a self-motivated individual able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must possess strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Experience with 2D CAD packages to create simple schemes and develop ideas essential
- Must be willing to travel (mainly UK based) and have a full, clean driving licence
- Use of a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
- Experience in quoting bespoke engineering systems would be desirable
