Salary circa £18,000 (pro rata)
Hours - 30 per week over 4 or 5 days - hours to be negotiated
We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated front of house team to provide comprehensive information, advice and guidance services to all potential college students supporting and advising them with their application and also their choices for suitable courses.
You will be responsible for monitoring and processing course applications for adults right through to enrolment. You will provide information and guidance on courses available as well as explaining the relevant fee payments and any funding support that is available to our qualifying applicants.
Your excellent communication skills will be required to build relationships with students, external agencies, and internal teams throughout the college. These skills will also be required for providing information and advice whilst attending events such as careers fairs and exhibitions.
You will have extensive experience in a customer service role, ideally in an education or training environment, and can demonstrate excellent personal communication skills. You will be positive, assertive and flexible with excellent attention to detail. You will also be able to meet challenging deadlines and work within a collaborative team environment. You will be able to demonstrate a commanding presence which holds others interest and have the ability to creatively solve problems.
You should be educated to Level 2 or above, including GCSE grades C or above in English and maths, or equivalent qualifications. Excellent organisational and administrative skills, and a proven ability to work in a busy environment are essential, and candidates should be highly competent users of MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel. This role will include some evening and weekend work.
