Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Building Estimator to work across all departments, dealing with enquiries that range in value from £20k up to £250k. A fundamental part of this role will be to maintain and build relationships with new and existing clients.
This unique opportunity is a permanent position that has real potential to lead into a more senior management role as the company requires an individual who can exhibit dynamic, forward thinking to assist with the company’s long term planning and potential for growth.
Position Summary
As Building Estimator your key roles and responsibilities will include an array of tasks including;
• Assist and produce priced tenders, quotations and clearly identified price build-ups to delivery teams
• Identify, maintain and build relationships with new and existing clients
• To assist with the completion of PPQ’S and ITT’s
• To ensure all reports and records are sustained/ updated at all times
• Risk assess all enquiries and highlight potential issues
• Complete quote analysis comparison from suppliers and subcontractors
• Site visits and client liaison
• Generate and improve internal pricing systems
• Support and oversee estimates completed by departmental supervisors
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will hold the required skills and experience to hit the ground running in this role;
• Degree / Higher National Certificate in Construction/Building, or equivalent is essential
• Previous estimating experience of at least 3 years & proven track record within the industry is essential
• Excellent knowledge of the building industry, material components and building regulations
• Exceptional management skills including programming, planning, compiling reports
• Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities
