Worldwide Education is currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated School Nurse to work within our client's school in Uxbridge. The position is on a long term contract, leading to a permanent job for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be working with children and young people with complex needs aged 7-19. The aim of the role is to improve the health and well-being of the pupils, to advise on common childhood conditions such as asthma, diabetes and eczema, working closely with the staff and the families.
Duties typically include:
* carrying out health assessments
* home visits to families in need
* providing health education, advice, and signposting to other sources of information
* providing immunisation clinics
* advising and supporting schools with their public health agendas for example healthy eating advice, stop smoking programmes
* safeguarding and service coordination
Requirements:
* Degree in Nursing
* Current NMC registration
* Significant Experience as a Nurse
Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will be subject to safeguarding and compliance checks, including DBS and references checks.
