Vision for Education, the supply arm of TES and leading educational recruitment specialists are looking to recruit a Cookery Teacher at a Specialist SEN school situated in Peterborough, one of the UK's fastest growing cities. The school is transforming the life chances of its pupils by ensuring that every child can succeed, despite the challenges they may face. The English Teacher position is due to start as soon as possible on a full time basis.
The successful Cookery Teacher will be required to teach a Btech course, both practical and theory sides. The Teacher will also need to be a creative, enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher who will ensure that every learning opportunity is purposeful and engaging. You will need to be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching and learning skills and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour. Experience in with working with children who have special needs is desirable. The school focuses on giving every child a real chance to succeed and strives to give every child the very best possible outcomes and opportunities by putting them at the heart of everything they do.
The Cookery Teacher must:
* Be patient and understanding
* Hold qualified teacher status
* Be vigilant and supportive when managing challenging behaviour
* Be flexible with your teaching styles in order to adapt to each individual
* Be confident working with groups and 1:1
* Liaise effectively with parents and colleague
