Secondary Cover Supervisor | Graduate Cover Supervisor | Blackburn
This fantastic Cover Supervisor position is the perfect opportunity for a conscientious and outgoing graduate to join a modern and vibrant secondary school in the Blackburn area.
Are you passionate about working with children? Are you looking to gain experience within schools as a Cover Supervisor in order to train as a classroom teacher in the future?

This graduate Cover Supervisor role offers the perfect introduction to the teaching environment. The position consists of delivering a variable timetable of already planned lessons and prepared teaching tasks across classes in different year groups and abilities. Any successful candidate will need to be both adaptable and confident. By liaising with the Cover Manager and working in a valued team of support staff you will assist in meeting the demands of the cover timetable. When delivering planned lessons you will work alongside experienced Learning Support Assistants and work cohesively to provide consistency in the teaching of the curriculum.
This Ofsted 'Good' school caters for over 1000 students and through the use of modern facilities aims to provide a stimulating learning environment. In recent year's academic achievement has surpassed all previous attainment levels, evidencing the high quality teaching and learning being demonstrated there. In addition to academic attainment the school focuses heavily on providing pastoral care for students and supporting them in all aspects of their life.
When visited by Ofsted the school was praised in many areas, with one inspector commenting "teaching and learning of a good or outstanding quality is consistently displayed - which, coupled with the good behaviour of students creates a great learning environment."
