An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Sun Academy in Bradwell as Teaching Assistant (Level 1). As a Teaching Assistant (Level 1) at Sun Academy you will work on a one-to-one basis with a child that requires a specific level of support. You will be a strong team player as well as a confident solution oriented self-starter and you will ultimately have a nurturing and patient approach to your work with children.
About the role
You will work alongside the class teacher delivering the best possible education for pupils. Specifically you will be working on a one-to-one basis with a child taking guidance from the teacher on how best to support the child's learning. You will be skilled at developing positive relationships with pupils and you can demonstrate how you have increased pupils' confidence in school. You will be passionate about raising aspirations of others and try your best to encourage pupils to believe in themselves.
What's in it for you?
As well as a very competitive salary (actual salary GBP8,524.23 - GBP9,216.42 (Grade 3, SCP 9 - 13), local government pension scheme, you will also benefit from being a part of a dedicated and supportive team. This role is a fixed-term contract for 3 years ending 31/8/19. Hours of work are 18.5 hours per week.
