An opportunity has arisen for a physics/engineering/computer science/mathematics graduate to provide specialist analytical support to the planning, execution, analysis and reporting of airborne electronic warfare trials in both the RF and IR spectrums. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: operational test and evaluation of airborne defensive aids suites fitted to UK military aircraft, carrying out threat vulnerability analysis and countermeasures development, modelling of threats and countermeasures and providing advice to customers based on analysis of trials results. This position includes a requirement to travel both in UK and overseas, mainly in USA, on trials and in support of customer meetings. The position is part of a small team of analysts that is embedded within the customer organisation which is heavily relied upon for expert advice in support of customer's operations.

Mandatory Skill Requirements

Software - Ability to program in MATLAB or equivalent program. MS Office

Tools & Methodologies - Ability to process and analyse large and complex data sets from multiple sources.

Other - Ability to assimilate complex concepts. Team-working. Prepared to work none-standard hours. Ability to work with minimum of supervision. Ability to communicate complex concepts to none-experts both written and orally. Hold, or be prepared to undergo, UK security clearance. Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skill Requirements

Hardware - Knowledge of RF and/or IR threat systems, defensive aids suites and countermeasures.

Software - Advanced MATLAB/SIMULINK skills.

Tools & Methodologies - Experience in the use of modelling and simulation of complex control systems.

Markets - Electronic Warfare. Defence.

Other - Experience or knowledge of electronic warfare principles and air platform protection requirements.

Qualifications: 1st/2nd class Honours degree in Physics/electronic/electrical engineering/computer science/maths etc
