About the role:
We have an immediate vacancy for a Field Service Technician to cover the Peterborough area.
This role will focus on providing the highest quality repair and maintenance service to the full range of company and third party products. In addition the role will also include weekly and monthly checks on fire alarms and emergency lights. It is essential that interested candidates live in or very close to Peterborough as this is where the majority of the work will be based.
Reporting into the Regional Service Manager, the Field Service Technician will work Monday to Friday. Working within a regionally based team of Engineers, this role will manage an individual schedule of planned and reactive work.
You will undertake site visits, commissioning, surveying and installation work, continually exceeding performance targets in the areas of productivity, quality of workmanship, first fix rate, stock control and attendance at work. You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic team member, positively promoting the company as a world class service provider.
About you:
We are very keen to hear from candidates with experience / understanding of electrical and electronic systems and principles - ideally qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. It is essential that candidates have strong communication/interpersonal skills, as well as the focus towards and ability to deliver an exceptional level of customer service - customer focus is key to the success of this role.
To be successful candidates must hold a full, valid UK driving licence, as a car or van will be provided with the role. Additionally, candidates must be able to work at height and within confined spaces, as well as having the flexibility to support a standby rota and occasional work outside of your geographic area.
You may have experience of the following: Field Service Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mobile Support Engineer, Networks, Electronic Technician, Electrical Engineer, Field Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer etc.
