Our client designs and manufactures innovative equipment that enables agile capture and transfer of information into electronic systems. The company utilises a wide range of platforms to base new, custom and semi-custom designs. Their world-wide customer base includes airports, retail banking, retail point-of-sale, financial institutions, public transportation, smart and mobile ticketing, and self service kiosk manufacturers.
The role:
Our client uses the latest Altium software which allows complete real-time integration of the PCB with their mechanical 3D CAD. The company are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to work on their Image Processing Software. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to advance their Engineering career and will be part of team aiming to set the standard in identity verification systems including projects with biometrics, computer vision and data capture for the future. The salary bracket will be GBP35k-GBP65k in addition to an exciting bonus scheme.
Essential Skills:
• In depth knowledge and familiarity with the Linux operating system and adept in its usage independent of any specific distribution
• Programming and scripting languages, for example C/C++, VHDL
• Embedded project experience
• Electronic hardware design, reading schematics, device datasheets
• Agile development methodology
