BECOME A BETTER YOU
The Army isn't just about soldiers on the frontline, in fact, the Army has over 200 different roles to choose from that give you all the trade experience you could want. You could work in our Royal Logistics Corps as a Warehouse Distribution Assistant, where you'll put your organisation and planning skills to good use, ensuring our troops have all the equipment they need in any environment. Or, you could find yourself driving the 62-tonne Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank around the world, across a variety of landscapes. And, of course, we have our Infantry and Guardsman roles where teamwork and problem-solving will become second nature. Whatever opportunity you are after, chances are the Army can give it to you, providing exceptional training in whatever the trade. And you'll do so while travelling the world and gaining valuable skills and qualifications along the way.

WORLD-CLASS TRAINING
Basic training will teach you soldier skills, like how to survive outdoors and how to fire weapons. Not only this, you'll develop your fitness, mental toughness and leadership ability. You will then have the opportunity to learn new transferable skills that will not only enhance your military career, but stand you in good stead if you later decide to return to the civilian world.

SHOW PEOPLE WHAT YOU'RE CAPABLE OF

We'll be with you every step of the way as you move up the ranks. From the moment you begin your training you'll get all the support and encouragement you need to make a success of your career. Work hard and you'll soon get promoted, which means more responsibility and extra pay. And you'll have plenty of opportunities to get qualifications that are recognised by civilian employers.

DO SOMETHING THAT MATTERS

You should be:

  • Regular Army age: 16 - 32.11 years
  • Army Reserve age: 17.9 - 49.11 years

Qualifications you'll need:

  • For our infantry roles, no qualifications are required
  • For roles in our other regiments, you are required to hold GCSE grade C in English Language, Maths and Science/ICT

Interests you'll have:

  • Risks and adrenaline
  • Outdoor activities
  • Shooting
  • Working outside
  • Decision making & responsibility
  • Driving

Our next deadline for application is the 30th of September 2016, with further opportunities ongoing throughout the year. The sooner you apply, the sooner you'll be on your way to becoming a better you.
