Job Title:
SSAS Administrator - York
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SSAS Administrator to join a well-established reputable financial services firm in York, on a permanent basis.
Main Duties:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SSAS Administrator to join a financial services firm based in York. Key purpose of the role being ongoing management of SSAS pensions schemes (Small Self-Administered Schemes).
You will work with a team of other pensions administrators and will be responsible for new scheme establishment and take over. You will be responsible for cradle to grave administration of schemes representing the company in a professional manner when dealing with clients, IFAs and providers. You will be involved in property purchase/sales/lease, loans and all associated administration, calculations and processing as well as HMRC reporting.
Although it is not essential that applicants have specific SSAS experience, it is essential when applying for the role, that applicants have a background in pensions and possibly accounting. Those without cannot be considered as there is simply not enough resource for that level of training.
Key Skills:
Previous experience in SSAS administration is desirable, however candidates with a general pension's administration background such as personal pensions, GPPs, SIPPs or Occupational pensions (ideally DB) may also be considered, training would then be provided to bring the SSAS knowledge up to the required level.
Excellent verbal and numerical ability is a must as is a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Communication skills and a polite and professional approach are essential.
