Casual Hospitality Assistants

The Lowry Centre has an exciting opportunity for Casual Hospitality Assistants to join the team based in Manchester. You will be on a full time permanent contract, with a highly competitive salary of £7.45 per hour (£8.34 per hour including holiday pay) plus staff benefits.

The Lowry is an internationally acclaimed cultural landmark situated at the heart of MediaCityUK, one of the world’s most exciting culture and media destinations. We have a large and busy Hospitality department, which is currently recruiting casual staff.

The hospitality team works in an environment where the performing and visual arts operate hand in hand with hospitality operations, servicing the needs of the public and visiting artists and performers.

We are recruiting Casual Hospitality Assistants to work in the following areas:

- Pier Eight Restaurant

Includes greeting and seating customers, taking orders, delivering food and drink.

- Pier Eight Bar

Includes greeting customers, taking orders, serving drinks and delivering bar food.

- Theatre Bars

Includes making a wide range of drinks pre show, interval and post show

- Tower Coffee Shop

Includes serving sandwiches, soup and cakes, plus making hot beverages.

- Conference and Events

Includes set up of conferences and events, delivering catering to function rooms, closing down events.  Working on weddings, birthdays and dinners.

In all the above areas when you become a Casual Hospitality Assistants we require a high level of customer service, this is an essential skill we require of all our team

To become a Casual Hospitality Assistants we require candidates to have relevant experience and are interested in current trends within the hospitality sector. We also require great communication skills and high levels of proactivity to work.
