LOCATION: Worksop, Nottinghamshire

JOB TITLE: Accommodation Warden

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP8.25 per hour

WORKING HOURS: To be worked mainly overnight and weekends

THE ROLE: The successful Accommodation Warden will be reporting directly to the Project Leader and will be providing a supportive role to clients ensuring the security, health and safety during their time there.

Key Responsibilities for the role of Accommodation Warden:

• To provide a supportive role to clients and assist with the security of the building.
• To advise and supervise clients on the use of domestic equipment and appliances
• To assist with arranging minor repairs and servicing of domestic equipment and appliances.
• To assist clients with disputes with neighbours and other residents
• To advise and assist clients with official correspondence relevant to the sustaining of their occupancy.
• To respond to emergencies
• To control access to clients rooms
• Cleaning and maintenance of communal/garden areas and ensure that all rooms within the house are maintained in accordance to strict health and safety requirements.

THE CANDIDATE: The successful Accommodation Warden will possess strong inter-personal skills required, ability to work with a wide range of vulnerable clients from diverse communities with the ability to act on own initiative and take responsibility for a varied caseload. They must have the confidence to deal with sometimes stressful situations so excellent communication skills are required. The will have previous experience of lone working and ideally will have an understanding of mental health, drug and alcohol issues.

Key experience and skills for the role of Accommodation Warden based in Worksop:

• You must live within a commutable distance of Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
• Previous experience in a similar role/environment is highly desirable.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to fulfil rota/staffing requirements.
• Will have an understanding of mental health, drug and alcohol issues.
