Bookkeeper / Finance Officer

Plant Heritage, the national garden plant conservation charity, is looking for a part time Bookkeeper/ Finance officer to take responsibility for the general financial management of the charity and help us lead cultivated plant conservation in the UK and Ireland.

Located in the grounds of the beautiful Loseley Park, Guildford, Plant Heritage is a small but important conservation charity working to conserve the diversity of our garden plants.

Reporting to the CEO, and working with the Honorary Treasurer you will be responsible for all financial processing including cash management, purchase and general ledger and payroll.  Monthly accounts are produced using Sage Line50 and at year end you will work with an external examiner to consolidate the national and regional group accounts to produce the Annual Report.   

A self-starter, you will have good experience of the full potential of Sage Line50 as well as Excel.

The role is 3 days (22.5 hours) a week, although hours could be spread over 4 or 5 days by negotiation.
