I am currently in the market for a talented, motivated and ambitious Logistics Manager based in the Essex area, the position is working for a nationwide contractor who specialise in national design and infrastructure whilst having a strong reputation in the South East.
You will be working under the management team and will be the middle man to make the logistics run smoothly throughout the project. This is an ideal position for someone who is able to multitask well with a great ambition to complete the programmes provided on time.
Ideally you will have completed a similar role on your previous project and will have been responsible for all labour operations.
You must be able to:
Must be able to read & interpret projected programmes and produce plans for all deliveries.
Responsible for assisting with the planning and booking materials and large loads
Responsible for taking control of labour requirements
Produce and update the daily bookings for vehicle movements.
Produce daily gate sheets
Responsible for planning movements of all equipment, plant and materials to and from the five working areas
Drive the awareness and implementation of Health and Safety throughout site
Aid the HS&E Team in the production of emergency plans and assist in the management actions
Assess spoil and construction waste removal (and cleaning/recycling options)
Required to provide reports / statistics for colleagues, who require logistics information.
Maintain and compile, correct and concise records for auditing purposes
Able to assist and support manager during audit process.
This is a temporary position and you will be expected to complete the duration of the project which is to last around 15 months.
