Solidworks Design Shopfitting

Our Client  is seeking a Solidworks CAD Design Engineer to work for a leading supplier of merchandising and shop-fitting solutions. The Role:Visit client sites to conduct detailed surveys of existing shop fitting equipment prototypesWorking from existing product samples, create comprehensive CAD ModelsGenerate detailed component, sub-assemblies and general assembly drawingsCreate simple renderings to accompany drawing packsCreate assembly instructions to assist on site contractorsThe successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on one key account however at times will be expected to assist with product development projects involving concept developmentWork closely with creative designers and account managers to ensure products are developed to best meet our client's requirements.The Candidate: ideally you will have a technical background within shopfitting industry. . experience of drafting drawings for components constructed from MDF, tubular steel and sheet steel. They will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of both fixed and KD construction and fabrication techniques. familiar with commonly used metal and wood finishes. SolidWorks CAD software is essential, key features being; Assemblies, BOM's, component libraries, generating drawings, multi-body parts, sheet metal elements, and weldments..
