Our client is a leading Facilities Management Company that works with Civil Engineering, Building and Environmental Services. They are now seeking a Water Hygiene Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor to join their team.
Duties:
Undertake site surveys for the production of Legionella Risk Assessments ACoP L8, HSG 274, HTM:, water Regulations and BS 8580
Generate associated detailed end reports including recommendations for remediation including budget costs and site specific control schemes
Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274
The monitoring inspections will involve temperature testing of water outlets, TMV's, inspection of cold water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water samples collection, showerhead disinfection, risk assessment review and logbook auditing
Plumbing repairs
Alterations and installation works associated domestic hot & cold water systems
Inspections will be undertaken using a PDA/tablet
The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar role, Plumbing qualification (City & Guilds Level 2 or above), previous experience in water system remediation / maintenance work and knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material.
A City & Guilds or WMS Legionella Risk Assessment Qualification or other 3rd Party accredited training and previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of chemical water Treatment systems would be an advantage.
