We are working with a mainstream primary school in Canterbury who are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with a child in a Year 4 class who has Global Development Delay.
The role will consist of supporting the child 1:1 in all lessons and ensuring that their behaviour is managed effectively. Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum would be preferable.
Your key duties will be to:
• Greet the child as soon as they get into the classroom
• Assist them in organising their belongings ready for the day
• Run through their visual timetable with them so that they are aware of their daily routine
• Supporting them in all lessons
• You may be required to act as a general TA and support other pupils within the class if necessary
• Any other duties allocated to you by the Class Teacher
It is essential that you have recent experience of working in a school and enjoy supporting children with additional needs.
The school is a two-form entry primary school, is very welcoming and has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted. You will receive excellent rates of pay which will be GBP60 to GBP65 a day.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in and you have a passion for helping children with SEN reach their potential then please send us your CV ASAP! We will be holding interviews in Canterbury on Thursday 29th September
