If you are an experienced health and fitness or studio manager looking for your next step but want to remain hands-on then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a fitness focussed Assistant General Manager for one of the top gyms in Sheffield. This post will involve leading, inspiring and developing a team of trainers to deliver an outstanding customer experience to members whilst supporting some of them with their personal training businesses. You will manage the group exercise timetable and be able to step in and cover when required. You will ensure the club looks and feels great all the time and you will always be on hand to take care of the members' needs. You will lead by example on driving outreach in the local area, promoting fitness and the club where ever you go. You will also act as the General Manager in their absence as part of your development to eventually become General Manager.
To be considered you will have at least one years' management experience managing and developing gym teams and be REPs level 3 qualified. You will be the type of manager who likes to lead by example, to support and involve your team where possible and to create a positive and fun working environment. You will also be able to teach classes whether they are gym floor, studio cycling or ETM orientated classes.
The successful applicant will be given the support and encouragement to develop themselves further with a view to becoming General Manager in the future.
