Our client is a well established privately owned manufacturing firm with a successful legacy in growth and innovation.
We have a requirement for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join this thriving operation.
Your role sees you responsible for ;
Work closely with other team members to ensure customer requirements are achieved and projects are delivered on time, cost and quality.
To design cost effective componentry as a valuable part of a product introduction team
Undertake detailed analysis of components and products identifying cost reduction and product improvement opportunities.
Ensure planning and execution of objectives comply with the product milestone process.
Develop design concepts which comply with global standards and legislation.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in Cero or similar design package for 3D model development following Best Practice methods
Computer aided analysis and simulation.
Design for high volume manufacturing
Self motivation with a high degree of creativity and initiative.
Lateral thinking with the ability to provide realistic and innovative design solutions.
Knowledge of components and materials used in the design of consumer durable products.
Good understanding of component costing
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Tooling design and materials as they relate to design and manufacturing.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; computer literate.
Ability to work independently to fulfil project leaders requirements
This is a full time permanent role with an immediate start
