Fire Maintenance Support Engineer
Field Based (covering sites throughout Oxford and the surrounding area)
GBP15,500 (rising to GBP18,360) Plus Standby & Call Outs, Pension, Life Assurance, Flexible Benefits Scheme, Company Car
Are you looking to gain experience within the fire safety industry? Do you have great customer service skills? If so, this could be the contract for you.
As an industry leader in safety and security, our client uses cutting-edge technologies to create innovative products that help people to feel healthier, happier and safer. They are now looking to recruit a Fire Maintenance Support Engineer to join their team.
For this position our client is looking for an approachable and enthusiastic candidate to train to become a Fire Maintenance Support Engineer. You will be provided with a comprehensive training programme - which means this is an excellent opportunity to embark on your fire safety career.
As a Fire Maintenance Support Engineer, you will be responsible for responding to service and maintenance calls for customers' equipment throughout Oxford and the surrounding area.
Working closely with the Planning Team, you will ensure that all reported faults are dealt with, and each completion is recorded accurately.
Your duties will include:
- Conducting planned maintenance checks on fire alarm and allied systems
- Repairing faults
- Liaising directly with customers on specific problems
- Providing technical support to customers
- Completing small works
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Good customer service skills
- Diligence
- The willingness to learn
- An interest in engineering
As well as your ability and desire to learn, as a Fire Maintenance Support Engineer, you must also have a driving licence, strong interpersonal skills and a positive 'can do, will do' attitude.
Experience in an engineering and/or electrical environment would be an advantage to your application.
