Our client is a vastly improved mixed 11-16 Secondary School, the school made changes at a senior level, the new leadership team have made great forward strides, most notably the success of pupil's examination results a GCSE.
The school is looking to appoint an outstanding English teacher, starting in at the latest January 2016 on a fixed term long term contract. The successful applicant will join a well resourced department, made up of 8 teachers with a range of experience and specialisms. The time table will be an even split between key stage 3 and 4 and you will take the form teacher responsibilities for a Year 7 group
With the sustained and consistent improvement in school, students are making positive progress and the majority exceeding the average expectations at GCSE. Teaching is good and in some cases outstanding, students are confident in expressing themselves during lessons and this has a positive impact on the development throughout their time in school.
The Head teacher is looking to appoint a talented English teacher with a passion for their subject; you will need to have previous experience at Key stage 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity and the school are looking to hold interviews as soon as possible.
