learndirect is the UK's largest provider of skills, training and employment services. We've helped over 4 million people gain the skills they need for work, whether its qualifications in everyday subjects like mathematics and English, vocational qualifications and apprenticeships, or higher-level professional qualifications. learndirect has a mission to change lives. We work with more than 100,000 people and 4,000 businesses each year. We're also one of the leading providers of eAssessment services.

What's the role?

Do you have a passion for helping people and want to make a difference to their lives? Are you interested in the learning sector and do you have job coaching experience - ideally with younger people? Then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

You will support a caseload of learners to develop multiple key skills. You will help them complete successful work placements and progress to sustainable employment. Your role is key as you will provide helpful information, advice and guidance to young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET. The aim of the role is to support the learner's progression into employment or training opportunities. The ability to relate to young people aged 15-24 years old is critical as you will need to engage, motivate and inspire them.

What are we looking for?

You should have experience working in a coaching, information advice or guidance capacity. You should also have experience of running creative workshops, particularly those around job search, employability skills, career development and confidence building. Experience in the employability or careers sector is also desirable but not essential. You need to be motivated and focused and enjoy the challenge of helping your customers find suitable work placements. You should also hold a relevant IAG qualification.

What's in it for you?

We offer 5 weeks holiday with additional bank holidays along with competitive remuneration. We have a flexible benefits package that includes a contribution based pension, life assurance child care vouchers, cycle to work, and a variety of staff discount schemes.
