Restaurant waiting on Kedleston Country House
Who are we?
Derby's original craft brewer, with awards across all our beer styles, a family run craft business with over 30 years brewing expertise in producing handcrafted premium real ales. We see a growing pub estate as a crucial part of our growth with three award winning pubs; the Kedleston Country House will be our fourth venue. We are looking floor staff to open The Kedleston Country House and we would hope to offer progression for the right candidate as we continue to grow.
The role
Are you passionate about great food and delivering great customer service? If you are you might be perfect for the Kedleston Country House. This is a great opportunity to be part of a team delivering some of the best food in Derby. You will part of a team delivering full table service in a restaurant with up to 70 covers. On top of this there is an additional 60 covers in the Orangery and the outside areas. Also as part of the role you would be expected to have a rounded knowledge of our drinks menu, specifically wines and signature cocktails.
Your role would involve working closely with our junior restaurant manager and restaurant supervisor to form a great front of house team.
We are looking part time roles on the floor
Who are we looking for?
A presentable, hard working person, who is an energetic & enthusiastic team player. A people person friendly with good communication skills & a great sense of humour. Someone who enjoys being in a busy environment, working as part of a team & is comfortable dealing with customers and of course someone who is passionate about what they do. Being able to absorb product information is key to this role so we are looking for someone who can learn information quickly and then understand it and share it with our guests.
Experience would be preferred for this role but all on the job training will be provided
Hours of work
Due to the nature of the business the candidate must be flexible in terms of hours which will include weekend work.
Pay
The role pays at the minimum wage on an hourly rate up to 23 hours per week for part time
