Head chef required, 30-45 hours- accommodation available. GBP10-GBP15 per hour depending on experience
Saint Johns Yard is all about amazing burgers, we believe the humble burger can be so much more and we use only the freshest ingredients to make ours awesome! We also cater for buffets (most weekends, 30-80 guests), BBQ's in the summer months and in-house street food events. So versatility is a must, the more broad experience and imagination you have the better.
We are looking for an experienced gourmet burger chef to take our menu to the next level including fresh salads and quirky light bites. A creative chef with experience in busy kitchens. You should be organised, a self starter, have a flare and a passion for cooking, have good communication skills and a head full of ideas.
You will get the opportunity to have a big say in the menu, work for a small independent with great values and lots of friendly faces. Good rate of pay. 30-45 hours per week. We will soon be refitting the kitchen so you'll have major input into new equipment required and layout.
Job roles include cooking to order, preparation of food, customer service, ordering of food from suppliers, cleaning, completing due diligence records, fully managing kitchen, communication to front of house management with regards to stock and bookings, reporting to management and owner.
We like you to bring your own personality to work and engage with colleagues and guests alike.
Requirements:
• At least 1 years within a high volume environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Confidential, professional and welcoming personality
• Be fully aware of Health and Safely and Hygiene regulations
With 28 holiday days per year, food/alcohol discount. Discounted accommodation can be provided on site.
