Position: Mechanical Supervisor 
Salary: £Negotiable, dependent on experience

Location: Hampshire


My client is a respected Mechanical and Electrical contractor based in Hampshire.  They operate throughout the Home Counties and South of the UK. Due to sustained success and growth they are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join their busy team.


As a Mechanical Supervisor you will report directly to the Contracts Managers and will be given the responsibility for undertaking Mechanical Supervision on Construction Sites within domestic environments.

Duties will include

Carrying out supervision & assist mechanical/plumbing installation work as required by the company
Manage & assist servicing and pre-planned maintenance mechanical/plumbing tasks
Supervision of all mechanical works to a high standard whilst complying with all relevant health and safety standards
Liaising with Senior M&E Contracts Managers on any safety issues identified and any faulty equipment
Completing all necessary documentation as requested by the Senior M&E Contracts Managers
Supervising all aspects of jobs on site, including labour and materials
Ensure works are conducted to project program, schedule and within designated budget restraints.
Keeping job records, to include any extra works, materials used and any delays incurred
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all company regulations and safety legislation and communicate these to all workers
Enforce compliance, administering disciplinary actions as required
Supervise employees, contractors & sub contractors
Ordering parts in absence of Senior M&E Contracts Managers


To be considered for this role, you must have proven, previous experience within domestic sector on a large scale installs:
SMSTS / SSSTS desirable but not essential
CSCS Card Holder
Proficient domestic plumbing experience
Excellent Pipe fitting qualifications and experience
Commercial Plumbing / Plant room experience desirable but not essential
The ability to effectively supervise and carry out installations to a high standard
Ability to read drawings and specifications
A full driving license

Essentially you will be a Time Served Mechanical Supervisor, Engineer / Plumber having worked in Domestic Building Services or Construction. Work accurately and effectively with your team and on the tools when required, Works well under pressure.
