Membership growth is a key strategic objective and the Business Development (BD) Team based across the UK act as an interface between industry, academia, promotional bodies & the company to support & develop engineers through membership & professional registration. They are looking for a talented Business Development Executive to carry out sales & marketing activities aimed at the recruitment, migration & retention of members.

The role is home based & requires easy driving access to South Wales, South West & Thamesway regions. You will also sometimes work across the South of England & Midlands regions to support wider membership development activity.

Key responsibilities are to:
- Develop & support activity in existing accounts with employers & academia, contributing to the growth of the organisation's membership
- Provide a number of sales presentations to designated cohorts of potential & migrating members
- Provide 121 & workshop support towards professional registration & membership
- Undertake a number of home-based telemarketing campaigns to support on-going acquisition, retention & migration campaigns

To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence, advise & coach others - likely developed through demonstrable success in a sales, marketing, PR or professional development background
- To be highly organised with proven experience of managing your own workload & conflicting priorities
- To be strongly motivated to achieve results, including KPIs & membership targets, with a high degree of professionalism & integrity
- A current driving licence, up to 6 points, & the flexibility to travel regularly including some over-night stays if necessary
- Experience of working in a membership organisation is desirable but not essential, as is an interest or background in engineering &/or professional development
