Teaching Assistant Position in Fleetwood

I am currently looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience of working within mainstream Secondary & Special Educational Needs settings to work in large mixed school in Fleetwood.

The role will be providing general classroom support in KS3 and KS4 so you must be comfortable supporting this age range. As well as general classroom support there may be times when you are needed to work with SEN pupils on a one to one basis.

The work of a teaching assistant can vary greatly depending on where they are working and the individual needs of the pupils. This could include:

- Assisting with pupils' physical needs, including hygiene and feeding, as well as assisting with therapy sessions;
- Helping with pupils' school work under the supervision of an SEN teacher;
- Helping pupils increase their confidence, self-esteem and independence;
- Helping pupils who have difficulty communicating with others, including those whose first language is not English.
- Effectively managing behaviour and implementing behaviour strategies as laid out by the class teacher.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who posses the following:

* Be a trained Teaching Assistant to Level 2 or Level 3
* Will use own initiative and be highly motivated
* Experience working with KS3 and KS4 children
* Can develop professional relationships with pupils and staff
* Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour, and an understanding of how all children learn best
* Have experience with challenging behaviour and be confident with behaviour management
