Cover Supervisors required for a secondary school in Fulwood

I am currently recruiting for 2 cover supervisors for a large mixed secondary Academy in the Fulwood area. For these roles you will be required to be ready and on standby in the mornings to cover teacher absence. This school has a fantastic team ethos, are very welcoming and supportive and provide great development opportunities for their staff.

Within this role you will be you will be responsible for supervising lessons during the short term absence of teaching staff, overseeing the work set by the class teacher, supervising and supporting pupils, delivering pre-planned work and ensuring the work is collected at the end of the day.

To be considered for these roles you must have recent experience in a childcare based setting and be able to provide a suitable reference to confirm this experience. This role is ideal for graduates who are considering undertaking a PGCE qualification or for people who want to make a difference to the lives of children and young people in their local area.

Along with this particular school I require Cover Supervisors for a number a schools across the Preston area. These schools vary in size catchment and ethos and all offer cultural diversity in a supportive and welcoming environment. If you are happy to be considered for other schools you can be expected to work in academies, enterprise colleges, LA maintained schools and faith schools.

You will encounter a diverse mix of pupils across our range of Schools. Good behaviour management skills, a passion for teaching and a dynamic and flexible approach will be advantageous for these positions.

We welcome applicants from graduates with experience of;

- Teaching assistant in primary, secondary and special needs schools through the school direct
- Coordinating workshops (such as drama, art, outdoor workshops etc)
- Sports coaching
- Working with children as part of church/community/mosque groups
- Working in after school clubs/ breakfast clubs/ holiday clubs
- Working as a carer in a children's home
- Youth Worker / Brownies/Guides/ Sunday school teacher

Applicants must be able to provide at interview a 10 year work history and details of referees to account for the last 12 months including relevant experience of working with children referenced.
