POSITION TITLE Residence Assistant (18 posts)
SALARY Grade 3 £16,017 - £17,703 pro rata
We are looking for individuals who can add value and assist us in delivering service excellence.
Hospitality Services operates and manages the accommodation on the Edinburgh campus year round and we are looking for exceptional individuals to join our teams.
Reporting to the Housekeeper - part of the teams that clean the accommodation on campus.
Hours: 25hrs per week, 5/7, including weekends, and statutory days – monthly rosters subject to change. Additional hours requirement at peak periods.
Job Purpose: To support the on-going Housekeeping of University’s on campus Residences by ensuring they are kept clean and tidy at all times.
The main areas of work will include:
Showers / Bathrooms / En suite areas, Study Bedrooms, Corridors, Staircases, Kitchens and Lounge areas
(i) Provide logistical and customer care support to Housekeepers
(ii) Maintaining security / locking doors
(iii) Reporting repairs, faults and maintenance requirements
(iv) Passing lost/found property to Housekeeper offices
(v) Working within Health and Safety rules at all times
Commercial, hotel and residential cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
