Intermediate / Senior QA Analyst

One of the world's most successful developers of satellite navigation apps for iOS and Android smartphones is seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate/Senior level QA Analyst to join their product development team in London, UK. In this role, you will be helping to test the development and maintenance of their web-based applications developed using a variety of technologies including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript/AJAX, Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL, Hibernate, EXT JS, BPEL, SAML, Web Services and HTML. As a member of the Engineering team, the primary purpose of this role is to define and run tests against their growing application to ensure its quality. You will work closely with other members of the product development team, including developers, test developers, QA and Business Analysts, and product managers, employing an Agile Methodology, to collaboratively define and build new releases of their web and mobile products from inception through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct functional testing on software components
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases
- Identify, document and follow up on software issues
- Collaborate with all members within and across scrum teams
- Involved in the software release cycle
- Participate in process reviews and improvements
- Install, configure and troubleshoot software in Windows O/S and network environment
- Take ownership of assigned work to ensure effective and efficient completion

Skills & Experience Required

- 3+ years of software testing experience
- Substantial experience with HTML , JavaScript, Web 2.0 technologies
- Substantial experience with Windows 2008/2012 Server and XP/Vista/Windows 7
- Experience in MS SQL Server or Oracle an asset
- Experience with IIS, web technologies, and Internet protocols X
- Experience with Virtual Machine environments an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment would be an asset
- Flexible in your approach and able to adapt to rapid change
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility and Security would be an asset
- Experience with test automation would be an asset
- Demonstrated professional development and craftsmanship
