Senior Nursery Nurse
Salary: £17,752 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week
Exeter College Day Nursery is situated in the city centre in a modern purpose built nursery. Our 40 place nursery has three base playrooms all of which lead into a large garden to the rear of the building. We are close to all main transport links into the city.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Nursery Nurse to be a room lead for our under twos room at our day nursery and to provide excellent care and education under the Early Years Foundation Stage.
As part of the Nursery Management Team you will be responsible for the supervision and organisation of the under twos room and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to. You will also be required to undertake the daily duties of a Nursery Nurse, which include providing a stimulating, challenging and safe environment for children, providing curriculum plans as required, liaising with parents/carers and recording the learning and development of the children in your key group in their individual learning journeys
The successful applicant will need to hold a recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 (such as NVQ in CCLD, Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce), or equivalent, and as a minimum have a wide range and breadth of experience of working as a Nursery Nurse with children under two years. You will have an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and have a commitment to the provision of high quality childcare.
The college offers a generous holiday allowance of 28 days per year, plus bank holidays and an additional 2 weeks off at Christmas. You will also join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
