Care Assistant
LOCATION: Dunstable & Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire
JOB TITLE: Care Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP7.50 - GBP9.00 per hour dependent on experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Days or Nights on shift pattern
THE COMPANY: Our client operate residential care homes in Dunstable as well as Houghton Regis, Bedforshdire which specialise in care for it's residents with conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
Due to continued growth they now seek dedicated and caring Care Assistants to join their existing friendly team.
THE ROLE: As a Care Assistant you will work alongside a team of Carers and report to a Senior Carer and will assist residents with individual day to day living needs, and also ensure the highest quality of care is always provided for the homes resident's.
Key Responsibilities for the Care Assistant position in Dunstable & Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire include:
- Assist with day to day living needs such as at meal times, with personal hygiene and general mobility assistance where needed
- Update records and individual care plans
- Assist as an when needed with any in home activities and events
THE CANDIDATE: This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career as a carer as NVQ training opportunities will be given. The successful candidate must be someone who is committed to helping others and a career as a Care Assistant and you must be flexible in the hours days you can work. Although not essential as full training will be given any previous experience as a carer or any relevant NVQ's or qualifications would be an advantage. Willingness to undertake a enhanced DBS check is essential an valid UK Driving Licence is desirable.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Care Assistant role in Dunstable & Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire :-
- Must be flexible with the hours and days you can work
- Is essential you are committed to being a Care Assistant and passionate about helping others
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check is essential
- Although not essential any previous working experience as a Carer is desirable
- An NVQ in Health & Social care would be an advantage as would Driving Licence and vehicle although is not essential
