JOB TITLE: Care Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP7.25 - GBP9.00 dependant on experience + on the job training + career progression + food and drink on shift
WORKING HOURS: Part time, full time, day and night shifts available - on a shift pattern (flexible hours)
THE COMPANY: We are currently working with an independent residential home for adults with learning Disabilities based in Byfield. The home is surrounded by 8 ?? acres of beautiful land providing a comfortable and secure environment for all of its residents.
THE ROLE: As a Care Assistant you will be supporting the residents with all aspects of their lives by promoting mutual care and respect and including them in the wider community.
Key Responsibilities of a Care Assistant to include:-
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will need to be a caring, committed and trustworthy individual. You will need to be flexible and work to the resident's needs. Having an NVQ in health and social care is desirable however you will be offered to complete the qualification if you are successful. It is also highly advantageous that you have a Full UK Driving licence and experience working with individuals with learning Disabilities.

- Support with activities such as horse riding, swimming and shopping
- Encourage and teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and mowing the lawn
- Communicate with the residents, friends & family and other members of the staff
- Attend medical appointments with the residents
- Keep records up to date
- Ensure all residents have a good quality of life

- Grace C or above in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent

- Willing to complete a DBS check on employment
