- Where is the role based. Chief Vehicle Rentals in Birmingham

- Salary. £25 - £27k per annum  -  20 days holiday per annum      

- Key responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Servicing of all fleet vehicles,
  • The planning all servicing schedules, keeping in line with all manufacturer warranty & requirements
  • Pre Compliance and MOT checks
  • Dealing with any manufacturer warranty disputes
  • Wiring of meters, camera, Tracker units
  • The overall standard of each vehicle going out on hire, making sure all vehicle are fit for purpose and compliant

- What Skills and Qualifications are essential.

Level 3 (NVQDiploma in Automotive Engineering. Level 3 Diploma in Light/Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles.

Clean driving licence

Experience with working on new car and light commercial vehicles.

Experience with vehicle electrics.

- What qualities are you ideally looking for.

CVR is the largest supplier of Accident Replacement specialist vehicles in the country, the successful candidate will be fully qualified vehicle technician with a number of years served in the motor trade, and must be able to work as part of the team

We will be looking for someone who can work of their own iniative, who will have experience of general motor mechanics to NVQ level 3, good experience with regards electrical wiring, MOT testing or preparation and servicing scheduling

A large perentage of the fleet vehicles must go through council compliance testing before hire commences, the successful candidate will be responsible for each vehicle completing the compliance/MOT testing successfully

The job role would suit a experience technician/mechanic who is looking for a change from the normal day to day mechanics role, who will become part of a small team working together to make sure the fleet is serviced, safe and fit for purpose to the required standard, although some light servicing is required majority of the job role will involve vehicle electrics and vehicle preparation for particular need,  the vehicle is required for

In house training for specific electronic wiring of vehicles with regards, data heads, meters and security tracker units

After a succefull probation period the candidate will be in charge of the safety, compliance testing, electrictrical wiring of all CVR’s fleet vehicles
